Stop Senate Bill 5 (Protect
Our
Progress) The Ohio Senate
will have additional hearings on Senate Bill 5
on Tuesday, February, 22nd. Opponents of this
bill will begin gathering at the Statehouse at
1PM, with the
hearings set to begin at 4PM. This legislation will undermine
Ohio's workers' right to organize. Senate
Republicans are trying to ram through this
attack on working people -- from our children's
teachers to those who plow our streets --
stripping away their ability to form effective
unions. This will make it harder for them to
fight for the better working conditions their
families need and deserve, and could open the
door to harsher restrictions for all Ohio
workers. Our allies are fighting back -- and
they need our voices to back them up. Join
Organizing for America – Ohio at the Ohio
Statehouse in Columbus to show your support of
Ohio workers. You don’t have to be an expert.
Just bring yourself, a friend, and some
comfortable shoes and help make a difference in
the lives of tens of thousands of Buckeye
workers. This will be an all day event. Please
come for as long as you
can. | |||
