Important: Monday, Oct 6th last day to register to vote for November 4th Election

Are you registered to vote?  Do you know others who are NOT registered to vote?

If you want to vote in the November 4th election, Monday, October 6th is the last day to register.

This is important.  How can we ever Change Clermont and also insure the country will move forward, rather than continue on its backward plunge?  We cannot take more of the McSame!  Be sure you and your friends and neighbors are able to vote for the Change we need!

If you are registering on Monday, October 6th, you can actually go ahead and vote right then and there, at the Clermont County Board of Elections.  But Monday, October 6th is the last day you can register, period.  If you are registered, you can still vote early at the Clermont County Board of Elections.

Deadline to Register to Vote: Monday, October 6th, 4:30 pm

Check that you are registered at the Ohio Secretary of State web site

Days to Vote Early: Monday through Friday (8:30 am to 4:30 pm (ends Nov 3rd)) & Saturday, Nov. 1st (8 am to Noon) at the Board of Elections office.

Absentee Voting: Call the Board of Elections at 732-7275 to request an absentee application by mail.  They will explain deadlines for the absentee ballot.

Please remember to bring a valid id with you for registering and voting:
http://www.clermontelections.org/194.aspx  And note, if you bring a copy of a utility bill or bank statement, etc, it must have your name on it, not just your partner’s name.

Hear the Candidates:
You have an opportunity to hear the candidates at a candidate forum on Monday, October 6th at Batavia Township Hall at 7 pm.  This is the last of the Clermont County Democratic Party sponsored candidate forums.  All candidates are invited.  The format is where the candidates give a short presentation and then field questions from the audience. Link to details.

And on Tuesday, October 28th, The League of Women Voters, Clermont County will be holding their 2008 Candidate & Issues Night starting at 6 pm at Receptions, 4450 Eastgate Blvd., Cincinnati, OH 45245.  It cost $10 and there will be Hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks available during program.  Link to details.
