Become a Neighborhood Leader

Take action by   Tuesday, November 4, 2008

Dear Friend,

When I think back on the events of 2006,  I think over and over -- "Look what you've done.  Think what you were able to accomplish."

Knocking on doors, registering people to vote, making hours of phone calls, standing at plant gates and shopping centers -- you never gave up.

After years of frustration, you changed the country.  You elected a progressive, Democratic slate of candidates -- Ted Strickland and Lee Fisher, Jennifer Brunner and Richard Cordray and Marc Dann.  And you elected a new progressive Democratic senator and a majority in the House of Representatives and United States Senate.

Because of you and your efforts -- and your refusal to give up -- we are forging a New Progressive Era.

Of course, we need to do more.

The Ohio Democratic Party is hosting a new program called Neighborhood Leader to strengthen our Party - and push for our progressive agenda of good jobs, health care coverage and ending the war in Iraq .  You are the key to winning so we can turn this country around.

I ask you to become a Neighborhood Leader -- to talk with your family, friends and co-workers, to go door-to-door in your neighborhood and to host at least one event with the support of the Ohio Democratic Party.  The Party will assure they have staff working with you to assure your success.

Please join with me to help our rejuvenated state party.  Sign up today to become a Neighborhood Leader and help educate neighbors and friends.  Sign up by simply emailing your contact information to: leader@ohiodems.org.

With appreciation for all you do,

Sherrod Brown
