SW Ohio for Hillary
Take action by Tuesday, March 4, 2008
It’s Primary
Season! While the Clermont County Democratic
Party has NOT endorsed or, as a party, is NOT
favoring any contested candidate, we
feel you would like to know about the
activities and events of ALL the primary
candidates. Therefore, as always, if a
candidate or campaign requests us to post an
event at the web site/send out an
email event about her or him, a volunteer
activity or fundraising event, we will do our
best to oblige. We do NOT give our
email list to any candidate or
organization. Candidates/Campaigns take note:
The CCDP will NOT edit your request. What
you send is exactly what will be
posted/sent. The CCDP will REFUSE to send
info that appears negative or slanderous
towards another Democrat. In our eyes,
ALL DEMOCRATS are
GREAT!
With that said, here is the first campaign item…
SW Ohio for Hillary
Calling all Clermont County Democrats! The campaign is heating up in Ohio, and we need your help.
On Saturday, hundreds of Ohio Democrats from across the state, and dozens from our area, joined Gov. Strickland, Lt Gov. Lee Fischer and Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones to get organized to turn Ohio blue in November with Hillary leading the ticket.
And last Monday night,
dozens of Clinton supporters from a number of
SW Ohio Counties
gathered in downtown Cincinnati for the
high-stakes debate in
South Carolina.
Bottom line from both
events: there are many things people can do,
IMMEDIATELY, to help
Hillary gather momentum over the next month,
including in Ohio.
They include:
1. REGISTER AS A VOLUNTEER. Please email us at SWOhio4Hillary@gmail.com that you are interested in volunteering for the campaign. We will then follow up with more details about how to get involved. Also, go to www.hillaryclinton.com/join, and register as a volunteer. By doing so, you will have access to all the different ways to help the campaign.
At the same time,
2. MAKE PHONE CALLS TO
PRIMARY STATES. Join our first Phone Bank on
Saturday, Jan. 26
from 2:00 - 5:00 at the Panera Bread, Hyde Park
(in Cincinnati).
SWOhio4Hillary@gmail.com to let us know if you want to help make calls. There will be more phone banks in the coming weeks.
3. CONTRIBUTE! Of course, with many primaries occurring so soon, the campaign needs as much support as possible to get its message out. Every level of support counts. In order to contribute, go to www.hillaryclinton.com, and push the red Contribute button.
Please let us know any other ideas you have that could help deliver Ohio to Hillary. This will be particularly helpful after the Feb. 5 Super Tuesday Primary, when all eyes will turn to Ohio. We want to prepare for that now.
Again, email us at SWOhio4Hillary@gmail.com if you want to be involved in any way!
Sincerely,
Former State Rep.
Catherine Barrett,
Cincinnati City
Councilwoman Roxanne Qualls,
Cincinnati City
Councilman John Cranley,
Hamilton County
Commissioner David
Pepper
and Former Congressman Tom Luken
