Win a Newby-Zimmer Scholarship to Wellstone Training in KY.

Kay Newby and Sandy Zimmer, two strong Democrats who believe in working for change, went to the Wellstone Training in Cleveland, Ohio in 2006.

They were so impressed and inspired by what they learned at Wellstone Camp Training, they want to provide the opportunity with someone who wants to learn how to work on the grass roots level and effect a positive change.

Newby and Zimmer will pay the tuition cost of $100 to the winning applicant *.

Applicants need to send their name, address, phone number and email address along with an explanation as to why they should receive this scholarship. References would also be helpful. Sandy Zimmer and Kay Newby will select the winner from those who have applied. Deadline for receipt of applications is March 24, 2007.

* This amount is for the training only. Travel and lodging cost are not covered in this scholarship. (There will probably be other grass roots activists in the Clermont County area that will be going to the training. Contacts will be provided to the winner and car pools and accommodations will be discussed among all who will be attending.)
